Maharashtra cabinet gives nod to the state’s Right to Health program that aims to provide medical tests and treatment at public hospitals free of cost. Under the program, free treatment will be made available at primary health centres, rural hospitals, women’s hospitals, district general hospitals, super specialty hospitals, and cancer hospitals.

Kerala announces the formation of Kerala Agro Business Company (KABCO) to promote the marketing of agricultural products. KABCO will be constituted in a public-private partnership (PPP) model and will promote processing and value addition of agricultural produce and the formation of agri-parks and fruit parks in the state.

Odisha introduces new incentives for the packaging sector under the Odisha Industrial Policy, 2022. As per the incentives, the state government will provide land at a 50 percent concessional rate and offer 20 percent reimbursement towards the cost of plant and machinery as capital investment subsidy without any upper limit.

Madhya Pradesh amends the Madhya Pradesh MSME Industrial Land and Building Allotment and Management Rules 2021 to reserve 20 percent of plots in industrial areas of the state for scheduled caste/scheduled tribe (SC/ST) entrepreneurs. The amendment also extends 50 percent exemption in premium and development fee to the entrepreneurs.
