The Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited canceled the results of a recently-conducted auction for 700 megawatts (MW) of grid-connected solar photovoltaic projects in the state. According to sources, the reason provided for the cancellation was that the tariffs quoted were too high. Source: Mercom

Foxconn, the Taiwanese electronics manufacturing company announced it will set up its research and development center for advanced industrial artificial intelligence at Hyderabad. The Assam government announced new measures to provide financial relief to thousands of workers and employees under the center’s Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) and National Health Mission (NHM) programs. The Punjab government announced it is removing a ceiling of 3,000 kilo-watt hours, or units, on electricity consumption for consumers from scheduled castes, backward classes, and from families below the poverty line.
