Arunachal Pradesh hands over five stalled hydropower projects to central PSUs with a target to produce 2,820 MW electricity and generate annual revenue of $61.4 million. The state government had earlier signed agreements with private power developers for implementing the projects, but the contracts were terminated following long delays in execution of the same.
Meghalaya cabinet approves the Drug Reduction and Elimination and Action Plan. The plan built upon the state’s Drug Abuse Prevention Policy, 2020 is in line with the government objective to promote holistic, and preventive health care.

The ministry signed a memorandum of understanding with its developing agency Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) for the platform’s implementation.
Meghalaya cabinet approves the Meghalaya Tourism Policy 2023 with the objective of promoting sustainable employment, and tourism in the state. The previous tourism policy was implemented in 2011.
Meghalaya cabinet approves the State Organic and Natural Farming Policy, aiming to create a comprehensive plan for transitioning away from using fertilizers, especially for vegetable cultivation in the state.
