Haryana has made the Energy Conservation Building Code mandatory for many government departments, including the Architecture Department, Public Works (Building and Roads), Haryana Urban Development Authority, Housing Board, Urban Local Bodies, and Municipal Corporations. The code sets minimum energy performance standards for commercial buildings.
