Jammu and Kashmir records a power distribution operating deficit of $723 million in FY 2016

Jammu and Kashmir recorded a $723 million operating deficit in power distribution during fiscal year 2015-16, according to a report by the Comptroller and Auditor General. Receipts were only 24 percent of the power purchase cost.
