KERC raises power tariff for all categories of consumers

The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) has allowed an average tariff increase of .8 cents per unit, or 8 percent, across all categories of consumers. The state’s distribution utilities had sought a 25 percent tariff increase.
