Maharashtra will allow electricity defaulters from the farm sector to pay their arrears within a year

Maharashtra announces an amnesty scheme for electricity bill defaulters from the farm sector. In an attempt to recover arrears of $2.94 billion, the amnesty aims at recovering the entire principal amount owed by defaulters to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), within a year.
