REC agrees to provide $5.8 billion to KPCL and BESCOM

The Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd (REC) agreed to grant the Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd (KPCL), and the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd (BESCOM) financial assistance of $5.8 billion over the next five years. KPCL will receive more than two thirds of the total assistance.
