Seven companies to supply 1,900 MW to five states

Seven companies have secured contracts to supply 1,900 megawatts (MW) of power to the states of Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Bihar, West Bengal, and Haryana.. The seven power companies quoted a price of $0.05 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), or unit, in the auction for contract-starved, stressed power plants.
