Tamil Nadu discoms to pay fixed payment for renewable energy sources

The Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission has fixed a payment of $0.05/kilowatt-hour (kWh) as the pooled cost of power purchase or a payment of 75 percent of the preferential tariff, whichever is lowest, that the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation will pay to the generators of renewable energy sources.
