Telangana decides to purchase power from Chhattisgarh

Power sector experts said Telangana’s decision to purchase power from Chhattisgarh would cost consumers in Telangana $1.9 billion over the 12 years of the agreement. They argued that the state’s power distribution companies should have opted for competitive bidding instead.
