Uttar Pradesh approves plan to install smart meters for urban high-end customers

The Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission approved a petition filed by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. to begin installation of smart meters for urban high-end customers. Smart meters for the remaining consumers will be installed later in a phased manner.
