The Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has begun commercial operation of its 800 Kilovolt HVDC Champa-Kurukshetra Pole I project. The power line is part of the HVDC interconnector transmission system which will bring power from Chhattisgarh to urban centers in northern India.
