Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has commissioned the first unit of the 2x30 MW Tuirial Hydro Electric Project in Mizoram. This is the first large-rating hydro power project in the state and it will make Mizoram the third power-surplus state in northeastern India after Sikkim and Tripura.
