Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) approves the government directive to waive off 50 percent of the network charges for rooftop solar consumers in the MSME sector. As per the order, the approved tariff for rooftop solar network charges will decrease from $0.018 per unit to $0.0091 per unit for the MSME sector, with the remaining cost being borne by the state government.
