Tamil Nadu releases the Tamil Nadu Coir Policy 2024, aimed at attracting new investments worth $360.87 in the sector by 2030 and creating additional employment opportunities for 60,000 people. The objectives of the policy released include design policies and regulations with sustainable value addition, eco-friendly principles and to promote balanced industrialisation for coir industries by facilitating investments.
