Chhattisgarh approves the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024-29. The new policy to come into effect from November 1, 2024 and will continue till March 31, 2030. The policy offers various stipulations to establish a new benchmark in the industrial development of the state. The policy aligns the state’s definition of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with the central government’s amendment issued in 2020. The policy focuses on expanding the investment in key sectors including pharmaceuticals, textile, food processing, agricultural product preservation, non-timber forest products processing, electronic products, information technology and IT-enabled services.
