Haryana approves Draft Haryana Municipal Bill, 2025. The bill replaces the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973 and the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994. The bill brings all categories of municipalities including corporations, councils and committees under a single legal framework. Previously, municipalities had to consult the 1973 and 1994 Acts, which sometimes had conflicting rules and regulations.
