Climate Change & Energy
Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) announces that consumers who wish to install the solar roof top photo voltaic cells above the sanctioned load will be automatically enhanced up to and including 10 kilowatts (Kw) capacity and will not need additional approvals from the electricity supply companies. Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission (CSERC) introduces the Terms and Conditions for Determination of Tariff for Renewable Energy Sources Regulations, 2024 for determining tariffs on renewable energy sales to distribution licensees, effective from 1 April 2025. These regulations will apply to renewable projects achieving commercial operation between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2030.
