Andhra Pradesh determines Pooled Cost of Power Purchase. Maharashtra approves the Maharashtra Compressed Biogas (CBG) Policy, 2026. A key component of the policy, approved by the state cabinet, is the development of a circular economy model. The policy aims to set up compressed biogas projects in every district through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and hybrid annuity models, and position CBG as a viable alternative fuel.

Rajasthan amends the Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electricity Supply) Regulations, 2023. As per the revised norms, the state government approves self-certification of electrical fitting and installation for connections up to 33 kV and generation units up to 1 MVA. Previously, for electricity connections up to 33 kV and small production units, it was mandatory to obtain inspection and approval from the Electrical Inspector.

Bihar approves new Satellite Townships. Madhya Pradesh amends The Madhya Pradesh Land Revenue Code (Amendment) Aсt, 2015 to increase land acquisition compensation. The state cabinet increased the compensation for farmers whose land is acquired for development projects. Under the revised policy, compensation for land acquired in rural areas will be increased up to four times the market value.
